Supporting Health Service Providers Across Ontario
The Translation Network supports Ontario health service providers (HSPs) in improving active offer*, furthering the delivery of French Language Health Services and improving access to these services through English to French translation of documents intended for patients, clients, residents of long-term care homes and the general public.
*An active offer of services in French refers to an organization taking measures to bring the availability of services in French to the attention of an individual from the time contact is first made between the individual and the organization. The quality of these services must be equivalent to that of services offered in English. This includes measures such as all communications, that is, signs, notices, social media and other information on services. See O. Our Team
The Translation Network team is comprised of 8 professional translators supported by translation coordinators. They are based out of three host agencies: Niagara Health, Health Sciences North and Accueil francophone de Thunder Bay.
